You Are Marilyn Monroe |
![]() A classic tortured beauty You're the dream girl of many men Yet they never seem to treat you right |
i had to make my monthly visit to my parents house today. i was instructed to pick up my Grandad en route.
We had a nice little chat on the way.
When we arrived at my parents my mother had laid on a surprise joint birthday party fro my Grandad and me. Twas lovely!
My auntie had brought along her new dog, he has been rescued from a group of junkie who were beating the poor little mite up in the street. Tell me how can anyone be so cruel? He is still a pup of only about 2 months old but gorgeous! he has such a sweet disposition, so loving! Sometimes i just dont understand the world and its people. Still, he is in a loving home now and i'm sure that he will be so happy for many years to come.
I remember this mainly as the song that my Dad used to sing to me when i was a little girl, just LOVE it!!
The band have recorded and performed their songs at quite a few local gigs during this time.
Last week the were told that they were through to the final of a Battle of the Bands here in the North-East. yeeeaaaayyy!!!!
Proud?? you betcha!
you can check a few of their songs out on their myspace, their addie is

Anyone who knows me knows that one of my great passions is cars! i just love them!
My one regret is that i haven't married a rich man who would have fulfilled my dreams to own some of the most gorgeous and powerful cars that have been produced. still at least that leaves me to dream!
My first car was a Fiat 127. it was a special edition, i was so proud of it, she had a Blaupunkt pull out cassette player, which back in 1987 was top of the range. The car also had a folding sunroof, tinted windows and alloy wheels. Although the car only had a 1.0 litre engine, it used to fly like a little rocket and i used to burn many a "boy racer" off at the traffic lights- heehee! I paid £750 for the car in 1987, all money that i had saved up from my Saturday job working in the local supermarket.
My second car which was co-owned with my then boyfriend, who almost became my husband (but thats a different story for another time maybe) was a Ford Fiesta, the first of many Fiestas in my fleet of cars.
When i split up with the boyfriend, the very next day i went to my local garage and asked to see what performance cars they had in, after looking after a few i fell in love with " Fred" my XR2! it was my pride and joy and probably one of the best cars that i have ever owned. i had the car for 4 years and it broke my heart the day that i had to let him go.
I owned Fred during a time when theft of performance cars was ripe. hundreds of XR2's. XR3's, peougot 205 gti's
were stolen to order by joyriders who would drive recklessly around then burn the cars out leaving nothing but empty shells. Mine had been victim of many breakins and attempted thefts, resulting in my insurance of the car being more than what the car was worth, if i remember rightly when i sold it it was worth about £1.5k but the insurance company wanted me to pay £2.8k! What a rip off!!
The next few cars were Ford Fiestas, again. It wasn't until 2005 that i next got a performance car, my SEAT Leon Cupra! i loved it, i love it still! I would recommend a SEAT to anyone, they are amazing cars to drive, and believe me after having my dream job of working with cars, i have driven hundreds of different motors, from basic ones to luxurious top of the range ones, the Cupra has given me the most fun!
She's struggling to move around the house now by herself, due to the hip dysplacia, and we find that we have to manovoere her by wheelbarrowing her to where she wants to go. Shes also become very adept and voicing her wants- she used to be a quiet dog, but, as silly as it may sound, old age has made her very vocal.the funny thing is, is that she is also deaf so when she does bark, its either a silent one, where she just mimes the actions of barking or else its a quiet bark.she's certainly become a strange dog, but one in a million!
Hi Guys!
I'm experiencing problems with the Vox site, is anyone else in the same boat?
I find that the site is very slow to load the vast majority of the time. I thought it was my pc for a while but then noticed that i am able to get on all other sites, including some very high traffic sites and these always load fine.
When i finally get onto the site, if i then want to move around, whether its to look at other peoples blogs or to leave comments it takes an age!
Its becoming so frustrating now that i rarely look on the site! any suggestions?
A x
